These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Aurene Prep, a browser-based Enhanced ACT prep app operated by Liberating Intelligence LLC. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By creating an account or using Aurene Prep, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Aurene Prep. The app is intended for high-school students in grades 9–12. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or guardian is aware of and consents to your use of the app. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 13 to register.

3. Account responsibilities

Provide accurate information when you register.
Keep your password confidential and do not share your account.
You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
Notify us at support@aureneprep.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

4. Acceptable use & prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

Copy, scrape, harvest, resell, or redistribute any question, explanation, or other content from the app.
Reverse engineer, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the app or its backend.
Use the app to break any law or to infringe anyone's rights.
Share, automate, or resell access to your account.

5. Subscription & billing

The placement diagnostic is free for everyone — no account required, and reviewing your diagnostic misses stays free. Practice, full tests, spaced review, and the AI tutor require a paid plan.
Pricing: $24.99 per month (auto-renewing subscription), or a $39.99 two-month pass (a one-time purchase that does not auto-renew and simply ends after two months).
The monthly subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price until you cancel.
You can cancel the monthly subscription at any time, including self-serve through the in-app billing portal; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Payments are processed securely by our payment provider, Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
Prices, plans, and features may change; we will give notice of material changes as required by law.

6. Intellectual property

All questions, explanations, study content, designs, and software in Aurene Prep are owned by Aurene Prep or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use the content for your own test preparation. You may not scrape, copy, republish, or redistribute the content. "Aurene Prep" and our logo are our marks. ACT is a trademark of its respective owner; Aurene Prep is not affiliated with or endorsed by ACT.

7. AI tutor disclaimer

The AI tutor generates explanations using a third-party model (OpenAI). The question text and answer context are sent to OpenAI to produce a response; no account identifiers or personal data are included in those requests. AI-generated explanations may occasionally be incomplete or incorrect and are provided to support, not replace, your own study and judgment.

8. No score guarantee; educational-tool disclaimer

Aurene Prep is a study tool. We do not promise or guarantee any specific ACT score, score increase, or test outcome. Results depend on many factors outside our control, including your own effort and preparation. The app is provided for educational purposes only and is not affiliated with ACT.

9. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LIBERATING INTELLIGENCE LLC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA OR PROFITS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.

10. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time and delete your account either from within the app or by contacting support@aureneprep.com. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the app and its users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual-property and liability terms) will survive.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Tennessee, unless applicable law provides otherwise.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of Aurene Prep after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
